Course Description

In today’s global economy, technology enables founders to reach customers anywhere—yet many ventures still fail in the first 1–5 years. This practical program builds the mindset and skills to design resilient, sustainable businesses from day one. You’ll validate ideas, craft a scalable model, map digital distribution beyond borders, and integrate environmental and social responsibility so your venture can grow without compromising people or planet.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Validate opportunities using customer discovery, problem/solution fit, and rapid experiments.

  • Design business models with Lean (or Business Model) Canvas, pricing logic, and unit economics.

  • Build a go-to-market plan for local and global reach (e-commerce, marketplaces, partner channels).

  • Create a simple financial plan (12-month revenue, costs, cash flow, runway) and key metrics (CAC, LTV, payback).

  • Integrate sustainability (materiality basics, low-waste/circular practices, supplier standards) into operations.

  • Plan operations for reliability and scale: fulfillment, service delivery, quality, and customer success.

  • Manage risk & compliance (basic contracts, IP, data/privacy, and cross-border considerations).

  • Choose funding paths (bootstrapping, grants, angels, revenue-based finance) aligned to growth plans.

  • Set up measurement: OKRs/KPIs, dashboards, review cadence, and learning loops.

  • Deliverables: Lean Canvas, Validation Plan & results, 12-month Financial Model, Go-to-Market Plan, Sustainability Action Checklist, and a 90-day Execution Roadmap.
